Marie A.
Fontenault, 57, of Mitris Blvd, died Saturday in Landmark Medical Center,
Woonsocket.
Born in Providence, the daughter of Roger A. and the late Claire (Vezina)
Fontenault of Glocester. She grew up in Glocester, moving to Woonsocket in 2004.
She was employed with the Seven Hills Foundation of Northern RI, a member of the
SPRED Program at St. Philips Church, an honorary member of the 3rd Order
Franciscans; and she was a member of The Arc Dancers. She recently completed her
A.B.L.E. (Adult Basic Learning and Education Program.)
Marie was loved by all who knew her and she had many friends. She loved to color and make crafts, and she never forgot a birthday. Every Christmas, she would sing Happy Birthday to Jesus. She loved hugs. Her favorite meals were spaghetti and lasagna. She had a favorite brother… all of them. Marie leaves five brothers; Roger E. Fontenault of Issue, MD; Ronald J. Fontenault and Normand A. Fontenault of Smithfield, Raymond L. Fontenault of Foster, and Robert A. Fontenault of Sterling, CT; as well as four sister in laws; Paula, Shirley, Donna and Melodie respectively. She also leaves 21 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:30am from the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Smithfield. Burial will follow in St. Ann’s Cemetery. Visitation Monday 5-8pm.
